International Culture Producer Summary:

The International Culture Producer program is a full-time (100%)  2-year vocational education designed for those looking to lead cultural productions and community development.

With 25% internship (20 weeks) and 13 weeks of cultural production, students gain hands-on experience in project management, marketing, and financing, with a focus on the Sápmi and Euro-Arctic region.

The program runs remotely with 6-8 physical meetups and is open to Swedish, Nordic, and international applicants.

What about practical experience and Internship? 

The programme consists of 25% internship (LIA – learning at work) where you get the opportunity to work with and practice in the role of International Cultural Producer.

We work in close collaboration with several actors in northern Sweden as well as Finland and Norway who are looking for the relevant skills.

What about projects and real assignments?

During the programme, you get the opportunity to work on your own projects and productions to lay the foundation for your own business. Or you choose to start or run projects together with other partners or actors. 

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling?

A passion for culture and the arts is essential. Prior experience in a related field is mandatory. 

What areas does the programme focus on?

It particularly emphasises the challenges and opportunities of Sámi culture and the broader Euro-Arctic region, exploring historical and contemporary issues.

Why and What is the Background of the Programme? 

The training has been developed in close collaboration with several actors in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, as well as northern Finland and Norway, who have been involved in designing the curriculum and jointly certify the need for professional competence.
